GAUMUKH - TAPOVAN TREK
Hardwar - Gangotri - Bhojwasa - Tapovan - Hardwar (9 Days)

Gaumukh is where the waters of Ganga trickle down from the glaciers. The sages called it 'Gaumukh', because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth; though today, it doesn't appear so.

Day 1	Arrival Hardwar		Check in Hotel. In the evening view Aarti at Holy River Ganges, at Har-ki-Pauri. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2	Hardwar to Gangotri	276 Kms./ 8 Hr.	Leave after early breakfast. Drive to Gangotri ( This sacred shrine, situated at an altitude of 3200 mt is the source of the river Bhagirathi. Check in Hotel.) Check in Hotel.
Day 3	Gangotri to Bhojwasa	14 Kms Trek / 6 Hr.	From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards Chirbasa, which is on the treeline. From here we get a clear view of the Bhagirathi Peak. Beyond Chirbasa the terrain becomes really desolate and barren. Infact, it has been referred to as the Arctic Tundra by many trekkers. From Chirbasa we reach Bhojwasa. Dinner and overnight in camps.
Day 4	Bhojwasa to Tapovan	10 Kms / 5 Hr.	Gaumukh Glacier is just four kilometers ahead from Bhojwasa. From Gaumukh to Tapovan the ascent is steep, and as we climb, the view of the surroundings peaks becomes clear. Dinner and overnight in camps.
Day 5	Tapovan	-	Meditation Session. After lunch Day at Leisure. In the evening Camp Fire from "Skylark". Dinner and overnight in camps.
Day 6	Tapovan to Nandanvan	8 Kms/ 6 Hr	Trek to Nandanvan via Gangotri Glacier, with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in camps.
Day 7	Nandanvan to Bhojwasa	12 Kms/ 6 Hr	Trek to Bhojwasa, with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in camps..
Day 8	Bhojwasa to Gangotri	14 Kms/ 7hr	Trek to Gangotri with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 9	Gangotri to Hardwar	276 Kms / 8 Hr	Drive to Hardwar via Uttarkashi. Check in Hotel. TOUR CONCLUDES.
